About this App
Long texts are tiring to read, but you can listen to them anywhere. Or you need to send a friend a voice message, and your own voice is not up to it today. Bot Maxim takes any text and returns it as a voice message. 🎧
The bot calls itself a tool for professional text narration. It works right in a Telegram chat: you write, get audio and forward it wherever it is needed. The audience is large, with about 118 thousand users listed in the catalog.
Three steps to the first sound
- Open the bot and press /start to bring up the keyboard with settings.
- Choose a voice and narration options.
- Send your text. The bot replies with a voice message.
That is the whole process. There is no separate sign-up.
How to mark stress
Speech synthesizers often misplace stress, especially in rare words, names and terms. The bot accepts a hint: put a plus sign before the stressed vowel.
In Russian, for example, the word for a castle and the word for a lock differ only by stress. Writing "з+амок" gives the building, and "зам+ок" gives the door lock. A small thing, but the difference is audible at once. 🏰
Voice, speed and language
In the settings you can pick a voice, male or female, from several options. Speech speed and the interface language change there too. Some features depend on the current bot version, so rely on the buttons inside the chat.
The /settings command opens the voice change. To find out what is new in the bot, try /news.
Inline mode for chats
You can call the bot from any dialog by typing its name and then your text after a space. It offers a narration, and you send the finished voice message to your contact without switching windows.
The /showmehowtouseinline command prints a hint for this mode. It is handy when you must answer quickly in a work chat.
Who benefits
- Language learners. Narration lets you hear how a phrase sounds.
- People with tired eyes. You can listen to an article or study notes.
- Short video makers. An even voice fits a voice-over.
- Anyone shy about their voice. You can send a message without recording yourself.
Prepare the text first
Narration quality depends heavily on the source. Remove extra emoji, long links and tables, since the bot will either skip them or read them oddly.
Write numbers the way you want to hear them. Break long paragraphs into short sentences, which adds pauses and makes the speech clearer. Abbreviations are better spelled out in words. ✍️
What to keep in mind
Synthesized speech sounds smooth, yet it does not replace a live narrator. Intonation can come out flat, and the bot may read a tricky word incorrectly.
Listen to the narration in full before you publish it. When you send text, remember that it goes to the bot. There is no reason to narrate personal documents, passwords or payment details. How the bot handles data is written in its privacy policy under /privacy. 🔒
If you want more, the bot has a section listing other projects by the same author: the /bots command.
