About this App
You know the grammar, but when you meet a foreigner, the words vanish. A familiar story: it is not rules you lack, it is speaking practice. LingoPraxis targets exactly that: a club where learners talk to each other instead of to a textbook. 🗣
You start in Telegram, and the club is also available as iOS and Android apps.
How the club works
The club follows a peer-to-peer idea. You join a meeting, pick a topic and discuss it with other participants in the language you study.
- Open the Mini App in Telegram.
- Pick a topic. From everyday chat to professional themes.
- Set a group size. Meet one-on-one or in a bigger group.
- Choose a time. A reminder comes before the meeting.
- Talk. The meeting runs over video.
According to the project's website, the club connects with popular video call services and with Telegram, while topic, time and group size stay up to you. 📅
Why it beats memorizing
- No pressure. Participants are learners too, and nobody grades your mistakes.
- No expensive tutors. The description speaks of affordable prices.
- Few notifications. The bot does not flood you with messages.
- New connections. You can find friends, close people and even business partners.
What you need for a first meeting
A smartphone or laptop with a camera and microphone, a quiet spot and headphones are enough. Prepare three or four sentences about yourself: where you are from, what you do, what you like. They make the easiest opening. 🎧
If you feel nervous, choose a topic you know well: a hobby, work, travel. Talking about familiar things is always easier.
Build a schedule: first set a goal for the month, such as talking confidently about your job and discussing news. Give each meeting one small skill: questions, a story about the past, an opinion with phrases of agreement and disagreement. A couple of weeks later the difference shows. 🎯
Getting the most out of it
- Come regularly. Two short meetings a week beat one long meeting a month.
- Write down new words. Right after the meeting, while they are fresh.
- Do not apologize for mistakes. Keep talking and fix them later.
- Ask to be corrected. A partner can spot what you can't.
Things to keep in mind
The club is practice among learners, not a replacement for lessons with a teacher. Partners' levels vary, and corrections will not always be right. For tricky grammar, exam prep or pronunciation, you need a specialist. 🎓
Check terms and prices in the app before paying. Project news comes out in its separate channel.
