Getgems: Telegram gifts on TON

Mini App • NFT

About this App

You can receive a Telegram gift and then wonder what to do with it: keep it, sell it, swap it. Getgems as a mini app puts trading in gifts, anonymous numbers and usernames into one window inside Telegram. All of these are NFTs on the TON blockchain.

What gets bought and sold here

The app's own description lists three main categories: Telegram gifts, anonymous numbers and usernames. NFTs from TON collections show up next to them.

  • Gifts. Collectible gifts you can send to a friend or resell.
  • Usernames. Short handles for a profile or channel, each with its own price.
  • Anonymous numbers. Numbers linked to an account without a physical SIM card.
  • Collection NFTs. Images and items minted on TON.

A look around the mini app

A tab bar along the bottom has Market, Stars, Explorer and Cart. Market is for browsing and buying, and the cart collects your picks so you can pay in one go.

Buying needs a TON wallet. Without one you can still browse what is listed and at what price.

Fees: what the description says

According to the app's description, gifts trade with no fee, while usernames and numbers carry a 1 percent fee. Terms on marketplaces like this change, so check the live figures on the confirmation screen before every deal.

Keep the network fee in mind too: operations on the blockchain cost a small amount of TON.

Alerts and showing off your collection 🔔

If you connect your Telegram account in the profile settings, you get notifications when your NFTs sell, when offers arrive and when other actions happen. You can follow one specific NFT or an entire collection.

There is also sharing in chats. In any conversation, call the bot by name, pick an item and send it. The message carries the picture and the item's current market status. For that, the bot first asks for your TON wallet address.

Three rules for a safe deal

  1. Use only the official entry point. Crypto is full of clones with similar names. Take the link from the project's official channels, not from a private message.
  2. Never give anyone your wallet's secret phrase. Support staff and "helpers" do not ask for it. Whoever asks wants to drain the wallet.
  3. Check the amount and the recipient before you confirm. Blockchain transactions cannot be undone.

The risks, plainly

The price of a digital gift or username is set by demand alone. You may sell an item high today and find next month that nobody wants to buy. This is not an investment and not a reliable way to earn.

Buy what you like and can afford to lose. Do not borrow for it, do not trade on emotion, and ignore stories about quick profit.

If the app lists an age limit or regional restrictions, follow them: some countries regulate crypto assets separately.
