Catia Eduverse: millionaire-style Web3 quiz

Learning blockchain from long articles is hard work: jargon, diagrams, a lot of reading. Catia Eduverse takes another route: a game show quiz in the style of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, with questions about crypto, Web3 and well-known projects. Answer correctly, collect Gems and earn a shot at rewards. 🌙

It used to be called Millionaire, Now or Never? and now runs as a Telegram mini app.

Who is behind it

Catia is an asset publishing platform for Web3 projects, backed by Icetea Labs, a venture builder from Southeast Asia. The quiz is the front door: newcomers learn about blockchain and the projects that later launch on the platform.

Over time the quiz has added topics beyond crypto, such as geography and language learning.

Game show rules

• Three levels. Beginner, intermediate and advanced, each with different Gem rewards.
• Multiple choice. Pick the one right answer from several options.
• 50:50 lifeline. Removes two wrong answers, leaving the right one and one wrong.
• Cooldowns. A timer kicks in after each quiz before the next one.

Gems, Stars and daily gifts

The game has a few kinds of resources, and they are easy to mix up. 💎

• Gems. The main ranking points, earned from correct answers, tasks, the lucky wheel, daily gifts and tapping the Moon.
• Stars. One Star cuts the wait before your next quiz by 2 hours.
• Daily login. Gifts of Gems, lifelines and Stars. Miss a single day and the streak resets to day one.

What you can win

Gems decide your leaderboard position and can earn you whitelist spots for asset publishing events, meaning early token sales of new projects. The project also advertises prizes in stablecoins, TON and partner tokens. 🎁

The first 50 Catia NFTs went to leaderboard leaders of the early version. Some players have described small payouts during the beta, but the quiz is not a steady income.

The knowledge is worth more than the prizes

The most valuable part of the game isn't the Gems, it is the basics. Someone who knows what a seed phrase, gas and a smart contract are is far less likely to fall for scams. 🧠

Keep the flip side in mind too. The early token sales that Gems lead to are risky investments, and new tokens often drop after launch. Don't invest just because you landed a whitelist spot.
