Bulletin: One Post, Many Channels

Bot • Channel Management

About this App

Do you run three channels and two groups, posting every announcement five times in a row? Bulletin does it in one go: write the text, pick the chats and the bot sends it to all of them at once. 📣

One message, many places

Bulletin broadcasts messages to several groups and channels at the same time. You build a list of your chats, then send any text into it.

You can fix things after sending, too: the bot edits and deletes the last message it broadcast. A typo does not become a problem.

The commands that run it

  • /add: add a chat to your broadcast list.
  • /view: see every chat you added.
  • /delete: remove a chat from the list.
  • /sendmessage: send a message to the selected chats.
  • /editmessage: edit the last message sent.
  • /deletemessage: delete the last message sent.
  • /button: build a button list for your post.
  • /language: change the interface language.
  • /cancel: stop the current operation.
  • /help: usage hints.

The bot has several interface languages, including Arabic, translated by a helper credited by the author.

From setup to your first broadcast

  1. Add the bot as an admin in every channel or group you plan to post to.
  2. Register the chats with /add and check the list with /view.
  3. Press /sendmessage and enter your announcement text.
  4. Confirm the send and check one of the chats.

Start with a broadcast to test chats so you can see how the message looks before it goes to your audience.

Buttons under a post

The /button command helps assemble a set of buttons that appear under the message. For announcements this works better than a link at the end of the text: a "Learn more" or "Sign up" button gets noticed.

Do not overload the post. Two or three buttons read more easily than ten.

Keeping readers happy

Sending the same text everywhere gets old fast if readers do not need it. Think about what each audience actually cares about. 🙂

  • Adapt the text to each venue, even when the core is shared.
  • Watch the frequency: fewer posts that matter beat many that do not.
  • Respect each chat's rules, especially in groups you do not own.

Mass posting into other people's groups without admin approval can get you banned. Publish only where you are entitled to. ⚠️

The short version

Bulletin is for people who manage several places and are tired of duplicating posts. It saves time on routine, and editing or deleting the last message guards against mistakes.

If you have a single channel, a separate broadcast bot is probably unnecessary.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I add chats to Bulletin?▼
Make the bot an admin of the channel or group, then send it /add. Check the list with /view and remove a chat with /delete. After that you send messages with /sendmessage.
Can I fix a message after it is sent?▼
Yes. /editmessage changes the last message sent through the bot, and /deletemessage removes it. This works for the most recent broadcast.
Does the bot need admin rights?▼
To post in channels and groups, the bot needs admin rights that include posting messages. Grant only what is necessary. Leave every other permission off.
Can I broadcast into other people's groups?▼
Only if you are an admin there or have the owners' permission. Mass posting without consent counts as spam and can get your account restricted. Agree on format and frequency beforehand.
