BIRDS: a GameFi nest on Sui

In summer 2024 another crypto game with a cute mascot landed in Telegram. BIRDS grew fast: by January 2025 the Sui network blog reported more than 9 million users 🐦

Things are quieter now. Around 490,000 people have started the bot, yet only about three thousand use it monthly. Here is what is still inside and whether it is worth your time.

An egg that grows as you play

The core loop is simple. New players get an egg that develops based on activity: daily check-ins, social media tasks and interacting with other players.

Actions earn BIRDS points that level the egg up. At level 21 it hatches into a bird. Starting points were based on your Telegram history, such as account age and Premium status.

The bigger promise

The team describes BIRDS as an application layer on the Sui blockchain. The bot description lists:

• A Sui wallet in Telegram. Hold Sui assets without a separate app.
• AI games and AI agents. Game and automation features driven by AI.
• An NFT marketplace. Buy and sell digital items.
• An AI launchpad and DeFAI tools. A place to launch tokens and AI-assisted finance features.

Sui's blog gave these January 2025 figures: 24.2 million transactions, 788,000 onchain accounts and 1.3 million NFTs minted. The scale was real 📊

The token that never listed

This is the part that matters most. The BIRDS token launch and exchange listing were promised for late 2024, then pushed to Q1 2025. As of October 2026, trackers show the official game token is not trading anywhere, with no price and no volume.

So the points you collect cannot be sold yet. Nobody can promise when, at what rate, or whether that will ever change.

Lookalikes and fakes

Several unrelated coins carry bird-themed names. Scammers use that to push fake claim pages and liquidity pools posing as the official BIRDS token ⚠️

• Verify news. Check token updates only in the project's official channel.
• Keep your main wallet away from unknown sites promising airdrops.
• Never pay to speed up payouts. A legitimate airdrop never asks for money upfront.
• Never share your seed phrase, not with support and not with admins in your DMs.
