Astral Gifts: gifts bought with Stars

Sending a friend a cute bear or a card takes a couple of taps, but you pick from dozens of options at different prices. Astral Gifts, listed in its profile as Bears Gifts, centers on that idea: the service page is titled Gifts for Stars, and the project has its own community with news. 🐻

Little public information exists about this app, so this page explains how gifts and Stars work in Telegram, so you know what your money is going toward.

What Stars are

Telegram Stars are the messenger's internal currency. You buy them with regular money through built-in payments or app stores and spend them on digital goods: gifts, paid content, games and Mini Apps.

Remember that a star costs real money, and turning stars back into money is not always possible. Treat buying Stars as spending, not investing.

Two kinds of gifts

• Regular gifts. Digital pictures sent into a chat for a set number of Stars.
• Collectible gifts. Released in limited editions with their own number, and can be stored on the TON blockchain, so they can be resold.

Collectible prices follow demand: they rise and fall like any collectible.

Can you get Stars back

For some regular gifts, Telegram lets you exchange back into Stars, but only within a limited window after receiving. Later the option may disappear. Since May 2025 the messenger also has an internal marketplace where gifts are bought and sold for Stars. ⭐

Before buying in a third-party Mini App, find out how it ties into these mechanisms and how much extra you pay compared with buying directly in Telegram.

Buying gifts safely

1. Compare the app's price with the price in Telegram itself.
2. Check who owns the project and whether it has an open community.
3. Start with the smallest purchase and confirm the gift arrives.
4. Never give an app access to your account or message codes.
5. Keep payment confirmations.

Where the catch is

• Gift cases are a gambling mechanic. If the app offers case opening, the result is random, and on average you get back less than you pay.
• Middlemen add a markup. A gift via a third-party app may cost more.
• Fake shops. Cheap Stars offers often hide fraud.
• Kids. Do not leave a child able to spend Stars without your oversight.

Who it suits

The app fits you if you enjoy sending digital trinkets to friends and follow the project's news in its community. If profit is the goal, think twice: there are no guarantees here. 🎁
