You change your channel's avatar and a line appears in every subscriber's feed: "Channel photo updated". You pin a post and another service line shows up. Nothing serious, but the feed looks messy and readers get one more reason to look away. 🧹
Anti Channel Service Messages removes those lines automatically. Its description is short and exact: it deletes service messages on your channel.
Which messages disappear
Telegram adds service entries to a channel whenever its appearance changes. The bot targets these:
- Channel title changes. The note about the new name disappears from the feed.
- New channel photo. The line about the updated avatar gets deleted.
- Photo removal. The same applies when you take the picture away.
- Pinned posts. The "message pinned" banner does not stay in the feed.
Regular posts are left alone. The bot only handles service clutter.
Setup in about five minutes
- Find the bot by the name Anti Channel Service Messages and open its profile.
- Add it as a channel administrator. You do this in the channel settings, under administrators.
- Keep the permission to delete messages. Without it the bot cannot remove a service entry.
- Test it. Pin any post and see whether the banner vanishes.
You can leave every other permission off. The fewer rights an outside bot holds, the safer the channel. 🔐
Why a tidy feed matters
Each service line takes up space between posts. On a carefully styled channel or one that posts rarely, it is especially visible: a reader opens the feed and sees a technical note instead of content.
There is a second reason. If you change pins often, say a new top post every day, an unmanaged feed fills up with identical banners.
What to watch for
Admin rights give a bot access to channel management, so approach it deliberately. Grant only what the job needs, and check your administrator list from time to time.
- Check the bot's name. Similar bots often have almost identical names. Add the right one.
- Do not hand out extra rights. A bot that cleans service entries has no reason to publish posts or invite people.
- Test on a spare channel. If you are unsure, try it there first.
- Watch for changes. If banners return after setup, review the bot's permissions.
What the bot does not do
It does not moderate comments, filter spam, or manage subscribers. It works with channels specifically. Groups and discussions need other tools, because service messages there work differently.
If you need full spam protection for a chat or scheduled posting, pair the bot with separate tools for those jobs. 🙂
Who benefits most
Owners of small and mid-sized channels who change their look or pins often. Authors who care about a clean feed. People who run a channel for a brand and do not want customers to see technical edits.
If you post rarely and never pin anything, you will gain little.
