About this App
Waiting for the next episode of a favourite show and refreshing a website every evening? 😅 Anime Library takes that chore away. The bot tells you when an episode comes out, and you can watch it without leaving Telegram.
Everything runs through commands and buttons in the chat. There is nothing to install: open the dialog and press /start.
A menu of about twenty commands
The bot is a set of small tools. The main ones:
- /menu. The main menu with quick access to everything else.
- /play. Watch any episode of any release right inside Telegram.
- /find. Release search that returns torrent download links and a direct link for watching an episode.
- /random. A random title for the evenings when you cannot decide.
- /help. The full command list if you forget something.
If you feel lost, start with /menu. Everything there is a button, so you type nothing.
You know the moment an episode drops
Subscriptions are the main feature. Add a title with /add and a notification arrives when a new episode is out. /remove cancels it.
/list shows all your subscriptions with pictures, and /announces controls what exactly the bot tells you about. That keeps the feed from turning into noise. 🔔
There is also a send-to-chat mode. /upload switches delivery of new episodes as video files straight into the dialog. Turn it on with your phone storage and data plan in mind.
A schedule you can plan around
To stop guessing when the next episode lands, a few commands help:
- /calendar opens the release schedule.
- /upcoming shows what is expected today.
- /ongoing lists current ongoing series with quick subscribe buttons.
- /history keeps the release history, handy if you missed a few days.
Pairing /ongoing with button subscriptions saves time at the start of a season, when many new shows arrive at once. 📅
Use it in any chat
The /inline command explains how to call the bot in other dialogs. You can summon it in a conversation with a friend and send a release without copying titles by hand.
If you are coming from the project website, /transfer moves your favourites over, so you do not rebuild the list from scratch.
Extra tools in the menu
Besides watching, the menu has utility commands. /app lists the project apps for different platforms, /lastvideo returns the latest video from the project channel, and /yt manages alerts for new videos.
/bug is for reporting a problem. If an episode will not open or a subscription did not fire, report it right away so it gets fixed sooner.
Things to keep in mind
Anime is protected by copyright, and the rules for sharing it depend on your country and the specific release. Torrent downloads may also be restricted. Before you download anything, check what is allowed where you live.
For safety, never type passwords or card details into the chat, even if a message looks like a request from the bot. A viewing bot does not need them. If access to the project website is limited in your country, /block collects tips on that. 🔒
One last practical point: watch your storage. Episode video files take space, and you can clear the Telegram cache in the app settings.
