The file arrived in the wrong format and you do not want to install a program just for that. Familiar? Converter bots exist for exactly this, and Convert is one of them. 🔄
The bot's greeting is written in Kurdish and English. It says the bot converts all kinds of content right inside Telegram, and that two interface languages are available for now: Kurdish and English.
A converter that speaks Kurdish
The language is the main thing that sets Convert apart. Many bots of this type speak only English or Russian, while here the menu and hints are written with a Kurdish speaking audience in mind.
If Kurdish is your first language, that removes the first barrier: you do not have to guess what the buttons mean. Switching to English is there for when it suits you better.
Who is behind it
The developer is named in the bot's profile, and the description points to a support group. That is a useful detail: if a conversion goes wrong, there is somewhere to ask.
It is a small bot, so do not expect everything a big service offers. Still, small bots often finish simple jobs faster than heavy websites full of ads.
How converter bots work
The pattern is much the same everywhere. You send the bot your material, choose what to turn it into and get the result back as a reply.
- Press /start and open the menu.
- Choose your interface language.
- Say what you want to convert and send the material.
- Download the result and check it before you delete the original.
The list of available conversions is best read in the menu after launch, since that is where the current state of the bot shows.
What to watch for
- The original. Always keep the source file. If the result has errors, you can try again.
- Size. Telegram limits file size, and heavy material may not go through.
- Quality. After compression or a format change, images, sound and fonts can shift.
- Privacy. Your file passes through someone else's server, so keep passports, contracts and bank papers out of it.
When a chat converter beats a website
A converter site makes you open a tab, find the upload button, sit through ads and download the result by hand. In Telegram everything happens in one window, where your files and conversations already live.
This shows most on a phone. A file from a chat does not need saving to the gallery, hunting down in a file manager and uploading again: you forward it to the bot. The result lands in the same dialog and stays in the history if you need it later.
There is a downside too. The bot will not give you a preview the way an editor does, so check the result with your own eyes before passing it on.
When the result looks odd
Start by sending again, because a dropped connection sometimes causes the failure. Then try another source format or a smaller file.
If the problem stays, write to the support group and describe what you sent and what came back. A concrete description gets you an answer sooner.
