Temki and Yazychki Bot

Stock Telegram is fine, but it looks the same for everybody. You may want your own colors, an unusual font in your name, wallpapers that match your mood and stickers your friends do not have. The Temki and Yazychki bot gathers all of that in one menu for iOS and Android. 🎨

One menu instead of ten channels

Normally you go to one channel for a theme, another for wallpapers and a third for fonts. Here the catalogs are collected in one bot, and /start opens the menu.

The profile claims more than a million ready-made stickers, wallpapers, themes and fonts. That figure comes from the bot itself, so go by what you actually find in the catalogs.

What the bot does

• /themes. A catalog of interface themes for iOS and Android.
• /languages. A catalog of "yazychki", meaning user-made interface language packs.
• /fonts. Creating a font style for your text.
• /wallpapers. A wallpaper catalog.
• /create_wallpapers. Making your own wallpapers.
• /chat. Adding the bot to a chat.
• /gpt. A section with neural networks.

Themes and language packs explained

A theme changes the interface colors: the chat background, message bubbles and panels. A language pack is a set of interface words and phrases that replaces the standard labels with your own, often funny or in a particular style.

Both are installed through a link right inside Telegram. If you do not like the result, you can switch the theme or language back to the default in the settings.

Setting up a theme in a minute

1. Open /themes. Choose a category and browse the options.
2. Tap a theme you like. Telegram shows a preview.
3. Confirm the installation. The theme applies at once.
4. Check both dark and light mode. Not every theme reads equally well in both.

Fonts and fancy text

Telegram has no font picker, so decorative lettering is usually assembled from special characters. They are copied into a message, a username or a profile description.

Keep the limits in mind. On different devices such symbols may show up as empty squares, and screen readers often cannot handle them. For important messages, plain text is better.

What to watch for

• Different platforms. A theme file for iOS will not work on Android, and the other way around.
• Downloads. Take themes only inside Telegram. Files from random sites can be dangerous.
• Neural networks. Do not send personal data or documents to such sections.
• Links from strangers. A "free theme" from private messages often leads to phishing.
