Screenchat Bot: fake chat mockups

bot • Fun & Entertainment

About this App

You need a sample chat for a post, a slide or a joke, but showing a real conversation is out of the question. Screenchat Bot, listed in Russian as «Скриншот переписки», lets you act out a dialogue between two people inside Telegram and then screenshot it. 📱

The bot describes itself in one line: play out a conversation between two people and take a screenshot. Everything happens in an ordinary chat, with no editor and no templates.

You play both sides

The mechanics are easy. You type your lines one at a time and the bot sends each of them back under its own name. On screen you get a dialogue with you on one side and the bot on the other.

The catch is that every message shows up twice, so you delete the extra copies by hand. The upside is that the result looks like a real Telegram chat, because it is one.

From draft to picture in four steps

  1. Plan the script. Write the lines in a notes app and proofread them. A typo is obvious in a finished screenshot.
  2. Open the bot and press /start. Then send the messages one by one, as in a live chat.
  3. Delete the duplicates. Leave the lines alternating: yours, theirs, yours.
  4. Take the screenshot yourself. The bot does not hand you an image. You capture the screen with your phone or computer.

With a script ready, the whole thing takes a few minutes. ⏱️

What fits into a staged chat

Text is only one option. You can also put these into the conversation:

  • Emoji and stickers to make the exchange feel alive.
  • Pictures and video when the characters send each other something.
  • Voice messages for scenes where people talk instead of typing.

The bot is free. It carries advertising, and by using it you agree to promotional mailings, which is worth knowing up front. The second command, /bots, lists the author's other projects.

Honest uses for fake dialogues

A staged conversation helps when real data cannot or should not be shown. Reasonable cases include:

  • An illustration for an article, an interview or a short story.
  • A teaching example for a course on communication, sales or social media.
  • A hypothetical dialogue to analyze, such as handling a customer's objection.
  • Humor, satire and memes where everyone can tell it is a game.
  • A mockup or a storyboard idea for a video. 🎬

The screenshot always looks like Telegram. If you want another messenger's style, you will need a separate generator.

Where a joke turns into deception

A fake chat is convincing, and that is the risk. A screenshot with no caption is easy to mistake for the real thing.

Do not use these images to make a real person look bad, to blackmail someone, to back up a debt or a deal that never happened, or to mislead a buyer. That can lead to account reports and, in some cases, legal trouble. ⚠️

If the picture goes into a public post, say that the dialogue is fictional. Use invented names and keep real people out of your script unless they agree to it.

When the bot misbehaves

This is a small bot run by one author, so it can go quiet from time to time. If it does not answer, wait a bit and send /start again.

If the doubled messages annoy you, change the routine: type every line first, then clean up the chat in one pass. That way you will not lose track of who says what. And keep personal data out of what you send through the bot. 🔒

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Screenchat Bot free?▼
Yes, you can use it without paying. The bot shows advertising, and using it means you agree to promotional mailings. If that bothers you, it is better to skip it.
Does the bot send a finished image?▼
No. It resends your messages under its own name and you take the screenshot yourself on your phone or computer. Delete the extra copies first so the lines alternate between two sides.
What can I put into the dialogue?▼
Besides text, you can use emoji, stickers, pictures, video and voice messages. Long dialogues are easier to build in parts.
Is it legal to make fake chat screenshots?▼
For jokes, teaching examples and mockups it is common practice. You should not pass such an image off as real to smear someone, blackmail them or trick them in a deal. For public posts, add a note that the dialogue is fictional.
