Giftaway is a Telegram mini app built around cases that drop NFT gifts. The bot description names three things: opening cases, a system of upgrades, and a referral program with bonuses. 🎁
This page is for reference and is written for adults. It does not urge anyone to open cases and promises no winnings. If you are under 18, or gambling is banned in your country, the app is not for you.
What a case looks like from the inside
You pick a case, tap to open it, and the service randomly hands you one gift from a set. The pattern is familiar from loot box games: you learn the reward only after you have paid for the chance.
Telegram gifts are tokens on the TON blockchain, which means they can be kept, transferred and sold. That is what case apps rest on: a prize has a market price, even if it moves.
Upgrades: a bet on a pricier item
An upgrade in apps like this works as follows. You put in an item of your own and get a chance to swap it for a more expensive one. The pricier the target, the lower the chance. If it fails, the original item is usually gone.
This is gambling too, with a gift on the table instead of cash. Estimate the chance in advance, and remember that the owner of the app sets the real probability.
Referrals and bonuses
Invited friends bring bonuses. For the app it is a way to grow without ads, and for you it is a reason to log in more often and open more cases.
- A bonus is not free money. A referral reward is usually tied to an internal currency that you then have to spend inside the app.
- Withdrawal terms. Find out before the first top-up whether a gift can be sent to your own account and what that costs.
- Pressure on friends. Invite people only if you are ready to answer for their losses too.
What you cannot check in advance
In case games the player cannot see the random number generator. A table of odds and the withdrawal rules should be written out in the app itself. If they are missing, assume you are paying for a chance nobody has described to you.
Small projects run by one developer appear and vanish fast. A balance topped up in an app like that can be lost not only in a case, but also when the service shuts down.
Habits that limit the damage
- Set a monthly amount in advance, one whose loss will not hurt your budget.
- Never top up with borrowed money or money meant for bills.
- Do not chase losses: after a weak case, the next one is no more generous.
- Do not send gifts or TON at the request of strangers, even if they claim to be support.
- Never share a wallet seed phrase or enter codes from other people's messages.
Law and addiction
Paid cases and upgrades count as gambling in many countries. Some allow them only with a licence, others ban them. Following local law is the user's responsibility. 🔞
If you spend more than planned, hide spending or borrow money, stop and ask for help. Most countries have free helplines for people with gambling problems.
