Anonymize Bot for hidden forwarding

Mini App • Herramientas prácticas

Sobre la aplicación

La descripción aún no está disponible en tu idioma, por eso se muestra en inglés.

You forward a photo, a post or a voice note, and a banner appears on top saying "Forwarded from" with the author's name or the channel title. Sometimes you would rather not show that. Anonymize Bot exists for exactly this situation.

You send the bot any message and it returns a copy under its own name. Forward that copy anywhere, and recipients see only the bot as the origin.

What the bot can handle

The list of supported content types is the strongest part of this bot. You do not have to turn everything into plain text first.

  • Text with formatting, plus captions on media.
  • Photos and full albums (media groups) in one piece.
  • Files and documents, GIFs and animations.
  • Voice notes, videos and video messages (round clips).
  • Location and contact cards.
  • Dice and darts, the animated emoji games.
  • Links and inline buttons under a message.

The profile promises that the original caption under media does not travel further either, so the source stays hidden in the text too.

The routine in four steps

  1. Open the bot and press /start.
  2. Forward it the message you want to strip of its origin.
  3. Wait for the copy. It arrives with no source label.
  4. Forward that copy to the chat or channel you need.

There is no signup and no settings screen. The whole flow is two forwards: one to the bot, one onward. 📨

Where it comes in handy

Everyone has a case like this.

You found a meme in a private channel and do not want to reveal which channels you read. You post a screenshot from a private chat to a work group without the other person's name above it. You assemble a collection of materials where a third-party source label just gets in the way.

Another case is an admin who wants to pass on someone else's message without the source channel's tail. Keep copyright in mind here. Removing a label does not give you rights to the material.

What stays visible

The anonymity is limited, and it is better to know the edges up front. 🔍

  • The bot sees everything. Any Telegram bot receives your message and your numeric user ID. Do not send it passwords, identity documents or private data.
  • The content can give the source away. If a screenshot shows usernames or a voice note has a recognizable voice, the missing banner changes nothing.
  • Files may carry metadata. A photo sent as a document often keeps camera details such as time, device model and sometimes coordinates. Telegram usually cleans these from ordinary photos, but files deserve a check.

In short, the bot removes the visible link to the author. It does not make you invisible. 🕶

Built-in option versus a bot copy

Telegram forwarding already has two modes: with the source shown and without it. Many clients let you forward without the author straight from the menu, and in that case you may not need the bot at all.

The bot helps when the menu option falls short: hiding the source for a whole album, a contact or a location, or keeping a standalone copy that no longer points to the original. Nobody can tap the banner of a copy and jump to the source channel.

There is a flip side. If the original is deleted, the copy remains with you and with everyone who received it. That is handy, but think about exposing someone's private material. 🧭

Ethics and limits

The tool is neutral, and people can use it in different ways.

Hiding a source to keep a post tidy is fine. Passing off someone's message as an unattributed rumor to mislead people is not. Do not publish other people's private conversations without their consent, even with names removed, because small details identify participants as easily as labels do. ⚠️

If you post into a work or school chat, consider how it looks. A message with no visible source is easier to doubt, and recipients may reasonably wonder whether it is real.

Preguntas frecuentes

How does Anonymize Bot work?▼
You forward the bot a message and it sends back a copy under its own name. Forward that copy onward, and recipients see no original author or channel. No signup is needed, just press /start.
Which message types does it accept?▼
The bot profile lists text, photos, albums, location, files, GIFs, contacts, dice and darts, voice notes, video messages, regular video, link buttons and formatted text with captions.
Does the bot really make me anonymous?▼
It removes the forwarded-from label on the copy, but the bot itself receives your message and your user ID. The content can also reveal the source: usernames in a screenshot, a recognizable voice, file metadata. Keep private data away from it.
What if the bot does not reply?▼
Press /start again and resend a simpler, shorter message. If there is still no answer, try later, and for basic cases use Telegram's own forward-without-author option from the menu.
