Papa Bot: videos without watermark

You found a funny video, but a logo with the author's name is stamped across half the frame. Papa Bot exists for that situation: by its own description it downloads clips from popular social networks without the watermark. 🎬

Where it pulls clips from

The bot's description names three sources: short videos from a popular social network, regular videos from a big video platform and video posts from a photo network. It promises to remove the watermark even where the author has disabled downloads.

Those claims come from the bot itself. Results depend on the specific link, so try it first on clips you do not need.

Step by step

1. Open the video in its app and tap Share.
2. Copy the link.
3. Paste it to the bot as a single message.
4. Wait for the file and save it to your phone.

If nothing comes back, wait a minute and try again. Downloaders sometimes run into limits on the source side.

Interface language

The bot has one command, /lang, which switches between Russian and English. It is the only command on the list, and everything else is driven by links.

Simplicity is the point here: no menus, no settings, no registration. That suits saving a clip quickly while you stand in a queue or ride the subway.

How many people use it

Bot catalogs show about 850 thousand monthly users. That is a lot for a narrow task, and the reason is simple: people constantly want videos without a logo.

Popularity is no reason to relax, though. Send the bot nothing but links. 🙂

What about the author's rights

If an author disabled downloads or added a watermark, they usually did it on purpose. The mark shows where a clip came from, and disabled saving can be part of protecting copyright.

For private viewing there are fewer questions. But posting someone else's video without the mark as your own is not allowed: it leads to banned accounts and legal claims. If you want to use a clip publicly, ask the author.

When the bot does not work

The bot's profile lists a manager contact for cases when a download fails. Describe which link you sent and what you got back.
