ToON: AI Avatars and Styles on Telegram

You want an avatar nobody else has, but you cannot draw and finding an artist takes forever. ToON handles this with a neural network: describe a style in words, upload a photo, and get a stylized portrait. 🎨

The app began on Telegram and now has a web version as well. The bot's profile promises three things: AI avatars, collaborations, and trading styles.

A style as a thing of its own

ToON's central idea is that a style can be created from a text prompt and reused again and again. You invent a look, and the neural network applies it to any photo of yours.

Later you can browse finished styles from other creators, buy them, and list your own for sale. The marketplace for that is called Stylepad.

What style tokens are

Stylepad lists tokenized styles with names such as Clean Beach Portrait and Candid Mystic Portrait. They are digital assets tied to a particular look.

Like any digital asset, they may find no buyer. Buy a style because you like how it works for you, not to resell it. ⚠️

Where the project came from

Before Stylepad the team ran other Telegram projects, including a mini game called ToON Nation with rewards, and a mini app with a yearly recap of the TON ecosystem that handed out an AI portrait in a themed style.

The web version came later and took the project beyond the messenger, toward crypto communities and ordinary social networks alike. 🌐

Making your first portrait

1. Open ToON from Telegram.
2. Pick a ready-made style or write your own text prompt.
3. Upload a clear face photo in good light.
4. Compare the results and save the best one.

For a good result use a front-facing photo without glasses or heavy shadows. The clearer the source, the closer the face in the portrait.

Photos, faces, and privacy

Any service that works with faces handles biometric data. Before uploading, think about whose photo it is: use your own pictures or those of people who agreed. 🔒

Do not upload documents or pictures of children. An ordinary selfie is enough for an avatar.

Writing a good prompt

Describe more than one word: lighting, mood, color palette, era. Soft evening light, warm tones, a slight film look will give more than just pretty.

Try different wordings and keep the ones you like. A good prompt easily becomes your signature style for every future portrait. ✍️

Who it is for

People who like changing profile pictures, run a channel, or want an unusual look for a profile. Beginners need no design skills.
