The Stats: Charts for Your Channels

Bot • Channel Analytics

About this App

Is your channel growing or standing still? Without numbers it is a feeling, not a fact. The Stats handles the routine: it collects data for the channels you add every day and draws a chart from it. 📊

The bot is small and has no decoration. Its job is clear, though, and you can start using it in a couple of minutes.

Four commands and you are done

The whole interface fits into a short list. There is nothing to configure.

  • /add puts a channel on the watch list.
  • /stats shows the collected statistics.
  • /remove drops a channel you no longer need.
  • /help explains briefly how it works.

What it looks like in practice

You add a channel and the bot records numbers once a day. After a few days /stats starts to look like a history, and later like a trend.

One catch: history builds up from the moment you add the channel. The bot cannot draw earlier months, so add yours early. ⏳

  1. Open the bot and send /add.
  2. Point it to your channel as the bot asks.
  3. Wait a few days at least.
  4. Call /stats and look at the chart.

Reading the line

One point a day says little. The value is in the movement: where the line goes after a post, after an ad, after a format change.

Keep a habit of noting what you did on the day of a jump. In a month you will have your own notebook of what works in your channel. 📝

An open source bot

The project sits in a public repository, so anyone can look at how it is built. That helps if you are wary of closed services.

The other side is that the repository has not been updated for a long time, so do not expect active development. The bot does its set of tasks and nothing more.

When one number is not enough

If you need post reach, subscriber sources or audience activity by hour, you need a deeper level of analytics. Telegram itself shows some of those statistics inside the app once a channel has enough subscribers.

The Stats then works as a simple daily diary of numbers next to the main tools. It will not replace a full analysis, but it keeps growth in front of you every day. 📈

Turning numbers into decisions

Once a week open /stats and compare it with the previous week. If growth slowed down, look at what changed in your content: posting frequency, time of day, topics.

Try one change at a time. Then the chart shows what worked and what did not. A simple loop like that beats a dozen pretty reports. 🔍

Practical tips

  • Do not add everything: a few channels give a clean picture, a dozen turn the list into a mess.
  • Compare with ads: mark the dates of placements.
  • Skip the fake boost: a sudden jump with no reason often means bot accounts, followed by an outflow.

If the bot stops answering, that is common for projects that have not been updated in years. Check /help and repeat the channel add.

Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly does The Stats show?▼
The bot collects data daily for the channels you add and shows it on a chart through /stats. History builds from the day you add a channel, and earlier months are not restored.
How do I add and remove a channel?▼
Add with /add and remove with /remove. /help gives a short guide. There are no other settings.
Is the bot open and safe?▼
The project's source code is in a public repository where you can read it. The project has not been updated for a long time, so share nothing extra with it and limit yourself to adding a channel.
What if I need deeper analytics?▼
For reach, subscriber sources and activity by hour, use the built-in channel statistics in Telegram once the channel has enough subscribers, or a dedicated channel analytics service. The Stats works as a light diary of growth.
