About this App
You run a private channel with lessons, breakdowns or a hobby club. Collecting money by hand means transfers, screenshots and reminders asking who has paid. PaidSub takes that routine over: it accepts payment and lets people into the channel or chat on its own.
What the service does
PaidSub organizes paid subscriptions for Telegram channels and chats. The description says it fits a subscription club, an online school, a workshop, a creative project or any other product.
The logic is plain. A person pays and the bot opens access. When the term ends, access closes. You do not have to maintain member lists by hand. 🔑
Two sides of one bot
The bot has two menus, each for its own role.
- /creator_menu opens the author menu where channels, tariffs and conditions are set up.
- /subscriptions_menu shows a subscriber what they pay for and until when.
- /language switches the interface language.
- /help gives hints and /start restarts the bot.
So the bot is useful both to channel owners and to people paying for access to someone else's material.
Connecting your own channel
According to the project's manual, you work through your own bot. Subscribers see a familiar name instead of a third-party service.
- Create a bot with Telegram's official bot service using /newbot and copy the token.
- In PaidSub, open the section for your bots, choose create and paste the token.
- Set tariffs. The duration is specified in days.
- Attach the channel or chat and make sure the bot has the admin rights it needs.
- Go through the entire payment path yourself as a buyer before inviting anyone.
A bot token works like a password. Do not forward it or leave it visible in screenshots.
Money and terms
The service website describes a built-in payment system, one-time and monthly tariffs with automatic card charges, and payments from both individuals and legal entities. Withdrawal to a card carries no withdrawal fee, according to the service.
Any intermediary still takes a fee for processing payments. Check it on the site before you set prices and work out how much stays from each subscription. 💰
Before you launch
A paid subscription rests on trust. Say in the channel description what the subscription includes, how often material appears and how to cancel. This cuts down on disputes and refund requests.
Keep to the rules: the content must be legal and you must own the rights to it. For taxes, ask a specialist in your country, because subscription income is usually reportable.
If something goes wrong, the project has a support service, and the contact is in the bot profile.
