About this App
Your favorite anime hero lives on a screen and never answers back. In Nekomori you pick a character, type a line, and play out a scene with them like a text roleplay game. 👾
It is a roleplay chat where a neural network speaks as an anime character. It opens as a mini app inside Telegram.
Pick a hero, send the first line
The flow is short: open the app, search for a character by name or tag, tap the card, and start talking. You can look around without signing up. Logging in matters once you want to keep your chats and build your own heroes.
The catalog runs to hundreds of pages of characters. You can filter by tags (series or personality) and sort by recommended, popular, or newest.
Nobody you like in the list? Build one
Users add characters themselves, so the catalog holds plenty of original heroes next to well-known ones. A character is defined by a personality description, a way of speaking, and an opening situation.
- Personality. The more concrete the traits and habits, the less the model falls back on generic phrases.
- Voice. Say how the hero talks: short and sharp, gentle, full of jokes.
- Scene. Give a place and a reason to meet so the chat does not start from a blank page.
Languages, platforms, and pricing
The interface comes in several languages, including English, Russian, German, Spanish, French, Turkish, and Chinese. There is an Android version, and in Telegram you use the mini app.
The platform is freemium: basic chatting works without paying, and Premium adds more. Paid tiers differ mainly in dialogue memory, meaning how long the character remembers what you talked about. Payment is accepted in Telegram Stars and crypto.
Three things to keep in mind
- It is a language model. The hero says what the model generates, not what the original author would write. It can mix up facts and forget details.
- Content varies. Users create the characters, and some are written for adults. If you are under 18, stay away from those cards and use the content filter.
- Keep private data out. Passwords, card details, your address, and documents do not belong in a roleplay chat, same as on any online service.
Why it pulls you in, and how to keep your evenings
A hero who always replies can eat an evening without you noticing. Set a timer or a session limit, especially if you chat late at night. 🌙
Roleplay works well as creative practice. You can rehearse a language in dialogue, sketch plots, or write scenes. It does not replace real relationships, though, and if a virtual partner starts pushing out your friends, that is the time to slow down.
To pay or not to pay
Start on the free side and see whether the dialogue memory is enough. If you keep having to remind the hero of earlier events, Premium may be worth it. If you drop in for half an hour a week, there is no reason to pay.
Pay with Stars or crypto only inside the app itself. Anyone offering a "cheap Premium" in private messages is almost certainly running a scam.
