About this App
Your group has a thousand members and ten of them talk. The rest are deleted accounts, long abandoned profiles and people who left Telegram for good. They inflate the number in the header while the real audience shrinks. Kick The Deleted helps you tidy up 🧹
The bot does one thing: it uses last seen status to find inactive and deleted members and removes them from the group. Roughly six hundred owners and moderators use it each month.
What it removes
- Deleted accounts. Profiles that no longer exist but still sit in the member list.
- Long absent users. Accounts whose status has read "last seen a long time ago" for weeks or months.
The decision rests on last seen status, as Telegram exposes it. Other activity signals, such as messages in the chat, are not part of the check.
What you need to start
Any bot can remove members only if it has admin rights. So your steps look like this:
- Add the bot to your group. Open it and tap the add button.
- Make it an admin. It needs the right to ban users, or removals will fail.
- Read /help. The guide explains how to start a cleanup.
- Check the result. Look at the member list and confirm that the right people left.
/start only reports that the bot is alive. Service commands such as /stats, /users and /groups belong to the bot's owner and are not for you.
The catch with last seen
Telegram shows last seen in rough buckets: recently, this week, this month, a long time ago. There are no exact dates. People can also hide the status in privacy settings.
So the bot works with incomplete data. A silent reader who visits daily but hides their status may look less active than they really are ⚠️
How to avoid disasters
- Test first. Try the bot in a small test group before running it on your main one.
- Warn members. Post that a cleanup is coming so readers can show signs of life.
- Back up key contacts. If important people are in the group, note them down in advance.
- Grant minimum rights. Give the bot only what it needs to remove members.
- Know who runs it. Admin rights in a big group carry responsibility, so hand them over knowingly.
Cost and support
The bot is free. Its description asks for voluntary donations to keep the project running. Nothing is required, and you never need to pay to reach a feature 💬
If you would rather not hand rights to a bot, you can do the same cleanup by hand: an admin opens the member list and removes accounts one by one. For small groups that is quick.
Who it suits
Owners of big communities whose follower number stopped matching their live audience. Admins who need honest numbers for advertisers. And anyone who wants to clear out ghosts in one go instead of hunting them down 🙂
