About this App
Five spare minutes, a chat with a friend and a wish to beat them. GameBot gives you exactly that: three simple games that launch right inside the conversation, with no install and no sign-up.
The bot was made as a demonstration of the Telegram gaming platform. It shows developers and ordinary users how such games look and work.
The games inside
The set is small, but each game has its own character:
- Lumberjack. You chop a tree by tapping left and right and dodge the branches. The rhythm hooks you fast.
- Corsairs. A ship dodges cannonballs and picks up gold to reach the next level.
- Math Battle. A speed test for arithmetic: solve sums and try to score higher.
Telegram said these demo games were built in hours, not weeks. It shows: the graphics are simple, but the mechanics are clear from the first second 🎮.
Launching a game in any chat
There is no usual command menu here. Everything runs through inline mode:
- Open any chat, private or group.
- Type the bot's name in the message box without sending it.
- Wait for the list of games to appear.
- Pick one and the game lands in the chat as a message.
The person you are chatting with receives the game too, so you can compete immediately.
Tips for a better score
In Lumberjack keep a steady rhythm and watch the branch one step ahead, not the one beside you. In Corsairs do not chase every coin: an extra move often costs a life. In Math Battle accuracy beats speed, since a mistake breaks your streak.
High scores per chat
The platform remembers results for each game and each chat. You can check which friend scored higher and take first place back.
That turns a short game into a small tournament. One phrase like "beat my score" is enough to wake a conversation up.
Where Telegram games came from
The gaming platform arrived in October 2016. About thirty games were ready at launch, most from one big publisher. The games use HTML5 and load on demand, like ordinary web pages, so they barely take space on your phone.
Since then the format has grown into mini apps, where heavier projects live. GameBot remains a simple starting point.
Good to know
- It is a demo. Do not expect a story, upgrades or dozens of levels.
- No payments are mentioned in the bot profile. Judge purchases inside other developers' games separately.
- Fine for all ages. The rules are simple and a session takes minutes.
If you want more, look for games from other developers in Telegram, but judge them by the same rules: what they ask for, if money is needed and if you can leave at any time.
