Auto Forwarder Bot for Channels

bot • Auto-posting

About this App

Running several channels and copying the same post by hand every time? Or want a mirror of your channel somewhere else? Auto Forwarder Bot does it for you: a new post appears in one channel and moves straight into another. 📨

Here is how to set up forwarding and what to check first.

One post, two channels

The idea is simple. You connect a source and a destination to the bot, create a link between them, and forwarding runs without you. The bot reacts to new posts at the moment they are published.

It suits owners of several projects, authors of multilingual mirrors and teams that copy announcements into a private channel.

The commands you will actually use

The bot has a small, clear set of commands. Everything is managed from the chat with it.

  • /add_channel. Connects your channel to the bot.
  • /my_channels. Shows connected channels and lets you manage them.
  • /setup_forward. Creates a new link between two channels.
  • /my_connections. Lists your links and lets you change them.
  • /help and /about. Hints and information about the bot.

Setup in five steps

  1. Press Start in the chat with the bot.
  2. Add the bot as an administrator to both the source and the destination channel, otherwise it cannot read or post.
  3. Connect both channels with /add_channel.
  4. Create a link through /setup_forward and pick where posts come from and where they go.
  5. Publish a test post and confirm it arrives.

If a post does not show up, the cause is usually permissions: the bot lacks the right to publish or is not an admin in one of the channels. ✅

Captions and buttons

Directory listings note support for custom captions and buttons under forwarded posts. That helps when you want to add a link to your own project or a call to subscribe.

Check the exact settings in the bot's own menus, since option names and availability can change.

Think before you automate

  • Copyright. Forwarding other people's material without permission is not allowed, however easy it is technically.
  • Admin rights. The bot gets access to your channel. Grant only the rights it needs and avoid connecting your main channel without a reason.
  • Duplicates. Two links between the same channels will repeat every post.
  • Platform rules. Mass spam and fake growth break Telegram's rules and lead to bans.

When you need a different route

Auto forwarding is good for mirrors and duplicates. If you want to filter posts by keyword, rewrite text or collect digests from dozens of sources, you need more flexible automation or your own script.

Try the bot on a test channel before attaching your main one, and make sure it answers commands and breaks nothing. 🔧

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I connect Auto Forwarder Bot to a channel?▼
Add the bot as an administrator to the source and destination channels, then run /add_channel and /setup_forward in the chat with it. The bot needs the right to post messages in the destination. Send a test post when setup is done.
Does it forward old posts?▼
The bot's description speaks of forwarding new posts as they appear. Older publications are not moved automatically, so transfer them by hand. Enable the link before you start publishing.
Is it safe to give the bot admin rights?▼
Admin rights give the bot access to your channel, so grant the minimum it needs and do not attach your main channel blindly. Test it on a spare channel first. If it stops responding, remove its rights in the channel settings.
Can I forward someone else's channel?▼
The bot works with channels where it is an administrator, so a channel you have no access to cannot be connected. Copying material without the author's consent breaks copyright, and mass posting can get an account banned.
