The chat is quiet and you want to liven up the evening. Charades-style "Crocodile" worked at any party with no gadgets. Now the same game runs in a group chat, and Crocodile 2 acts as the host. It hands out words, keeps score and watches the turn order. 🐊

How Crocodile is played

One player gets a hidden word and explains it to the others without saying it. The rest try to guess. Whoever guesses first earns a point and becomes the next host.

In real life the word is shown with gestures. In a chat the host explains with words, using hints and descriptions. The main rule: you may not say the word itself or words that share its root.

What the bot does

/rating shows the rating, /globalrating the rating across all chats, /chatrating the rating of chats. /help gives a reference, /language changes the language, and the interface is available in Russian and English.

If the group has topics enabled, the /topicsettings command opens settings for a specific thread. It helps when a community keeps its games apart from discussions.

Premium for a chat

The /buy command offers premium. According to the command list, premium chats get extra options: /resetrating resets the chat rating and /settings changes its settings. Check the price and terms inside the bot before buying. 💳

You can play without premium. Paid features are for admins who want to manage the rating and the rules.

Tips for the one explaining

1. Start with a broad category: "it is an animal", "it is a place", "it is an action".
2. Avoid words that share the root, or the explanation counts as a violation.
3. Use associations: "it looks like what we discussed yesterday".
4. Do not drag it out: if the word is too hard, pass the turn.

What a chat admin should consider

The game is noisy: quick guesses fill the feed. If your chat has serious discussions, agree on a separate thread or a set time. Do not push the game on people who came for another topic.

Check the exact bot name before adding it, since popular games often have several copies. The same game sometimes runs in several bots to spread the load, so check which one you are adding to your chat. 🙂
