Combot: keep your community in shape

Your group hit a thousand members, and with it came spam, bot raids and endless where are the rules questions. Combot is one of the best-known community management tools on Telegram, used by hundreds of thousands of groups and over a hundred thousand channels. 🛡️

Anti-spam that knows spammers in advance

Combot's headline feature is CAS (Combot Anti-Spam), a shared spammer database. If an account has already been caught spamming in any protected group, it gets banned the moment it joins yours, before posting a thing.

• Shared ban list. One list across every CAS-protected group.
• Background cleanup. Since April 2025 the system also removes dormant spam accounts already sitting in a group.
• Free for everyone. Third party bots use the database too.

The downside: CAS bans are treated as permanent, and appealing one is practically impossible, even for a hacked account. Group admins can't add people to the list themselves.

Moderation and captcha

The core tools protect a chat from the usual trouble. 🤖

• Captcha for newcomers. Checks that a human, not a bot, has joined.
• Raid protection. Mass removal when dozens of fakes flood in at once.
• Comment moderation. Order in channel discussion threads as well as groups.
• Inactivity kicker. On paid plans the bot can remove members who have gone silent.

Triggers: a chat that answers itself

Combot calls its trigger system the best on Telegram. A trigger is an if-then rule. If someone writes how to buy, the bot replies with the price list. If a newcomer joins, the bot sends the rules.

The free plan includes 2 automations, Pro up to 50 rules and Business up to 200. For a small chat, a couple of well-thought-out triggers is usually enough.

Analytics and scheduled posts

The /stat command shows chat statistics right in the group, with details in a private chat with the bot and in the dashboard. 📊

Getting set up

1. Add it. Tap Open and add Combot to your group as an admin.
2. Sign in. Log in to the web dashboard with Telegram.
3. Turn on protection. Enable captcha and CAS first.
4. Set triggers. Start with a welcome and an answer to your most common question.
5. Check stats. After a week, see where spam comes from and who your most active members are. ✅
