ChatGroups: Find Communities to Join

Want a lively chat about anime, games or crypto, but Telegram search throws up empty channels and ads? ChatGroups collects a directory of communities that you can browse by topic and open in a couple of taps. 🔎

The bot and mini app show curated lists: what is trending now, what was added recently and what matches your interest.

Seven commands for searching

The bot menu is built around browsing the directory. Each command is a different way to find the community you want.

• /start the main menu and the directory home.
• /trending communities that are popular right now.
• /categories browse by topic: anime, gaming, crypto and more.
• /new recently added listings.
• /search search by a word, for example /search anime.
• /create list your own community in the directory.
• /language choose the language of the listings.

Three ways to find a chat

If you know what you want, type /search and a word. If you only want to look around, open /categories and walk through the topics.

For those who like to stay current there are /trending and /new. The first shows where the crowd is heading, and the second helps you find small, fresh communities where you can become a regular from day one.

If you run a chat of your own

The /create command adds your community to the directory. It is a way to draw people who truly care about the topic instead of random subscribers.

Before submitting, prepare a short, honest description: topic, language, rules. A good description filters out the wrong people and attracts the right ones.

Choosing a chat worth staying in

A directory shows that a chat exists, but it cannot guarantee the quality of the conversation. A few signs help you decide whether to stay.

1. Join and read the latest messages: is the discussion alive or just ads?
2. See whether the group has rules and working moderators.
3. Check that the topic matches the directory description.
4. Leave without regret if the chat is spammy or pushes you to buy.

Be careful with the crypto topic

Crypto chats are full of "signals", "guaranteed" returns and private offers in direct messages. Nobody knows where a price will go, and a promise of income is almost always a trap.

Do not transfer money to strangers, never enter a wallet recovery phrase and decline "personal help" from chat members. Admins of genuine communities do not message you privately with offers. 🔐

The mini app and your data

The bot runs as a mini app inside Telegram: the directory opens in a window and needs no installation. You enter a chat through an invitation link.

Your profile becomes visible to group members once you join. If you do not want to show your phone number and name, check your privacy settings in Telegram. 🙂
