About this App
The stream ended before you could finish watching it. Or the creator deleted the replay, and there is no going back. Auto Live Recorder aims to fix that: the bot records live broadcast video from different platforms, and all of it happens in a Telegram chat. 🎥
The bot description is short: record public live streams on all platforms. The same line is written in Turkish too.
What the bot has
The menu is minimal, with two commands.
- /start launches the bot.
- /list shows active recordings.
The /list command hints at how things work: recording runs in the background, and you can check at any time what the bot is capturing right now. Command descriptions inside the bot are in Turkish.
Public streams only
The bot is meant for open broadcasts. Private rooms, paid shows and streams that need a password are generally not recorded, and getting around a platform's protection is not something you should try. 🔒
If a stream is not reachable without logging in, it was not meant to be saved.
The creator's rights come before convenience
Recording someone's stream for personal viewing and your own archive rarely raises questions, but publishing it further is risky. The video has an author, and platform rules, and often the law, limit reposting.
- For yourself. Save what you want to rewatch.
- Do not post others' work. Without the author's permission that is a violation.
- Think about people on screen. Bystanders can appear, and their faces are personal data too.
Making it useful in practice
- Open the bot and press /start.
- Give the bot the stream the way it asks: prompts appear in the chat.
- Check /list while recording runs.
- Download the finished file and keep it somewhere reliable.
Long streams eat space. Free up phone storage in advance, and copy important recordings to a computer or cloud rather than leaving them only in the chat. 💾
Why record streams at all
The reasons vary: a lecture or webinar at an awkward hour, a match of your favourite team, a concert, a breakdown from a creator you want to rewatch. A live stream happens once, but a recording can be paused.
For study and work a recording is especially handy: you can return to a hard part and hear it again. 📚
If you host streams yourself and want to keep your own broadcast, first check your platform's settings, since many have built-in saving.
When a recording fails
A stream may have ended before the bot started, and platforms have outages and link changes. Then you wait for the next broadcast and try again.
File quality depends on what the platform exposes publicly. If the live video ran at low resolution, the recording will not look better. 📺
The bot is small, with around four hundred monthly users, so do not expect advanced settings or the support of a large service.
